We Do Learning.
Musical Teaching Philosophy
With exposure and constant interaction with music, students can experience emotion and personal achievement at the physically, technical, and intellectual levels music has to offer. A student will be able to develop the skills in order to reference music to culture and historic events that bring emotion and life to the importance of these events. By participating in private instruction students can develop an appreciation for good music through instrumental studies while listening to uniqully beautiful music, studying literature, music history, and theory. In addition to this, students will have the opportunity to also develop great fundamental technique of rhythmic, aural, and instrumental achievement through encouraging and engaging activities. As student performers we participate in contests and auditions processes in hopes to encourage development as musicians and as future professionals of society.
Lesson Fees and Logistics
Lessons are charged as $20.00 for every half–hour, $25.00 for every forty-five minutes, or $30.00 for a full one-hour lesson. For the first lesson, please pay for the lesson and the next lesson in addition. The goal is for the last lesson to eventually be a pre-paid lesson. If this does not work, please let me know so we can make other arrangements. Lesson can also be paid in lump sums (some students have found it easier to pay for lessons a month at a time). In this case I will be sure to have an invoice available to reflect for lessons paid. A student date book or printed calendar will be assigned to the student to help maintain this system and is to be kept in the student’s lesson binder or folder.
